Our tips for a successful winter decoration

The changing seasons are more than ever an opportunity to review your decoration. We adapt the colors, materials and pieces to the desires and trends obviously but also to the temperatures! Let's take an overview of the possibilities available to us in winter.

Favor soft and comforting materials

In winter, we enjoy staying warm at home, lounging in bed on weekends, and wrapping ourselves in a cozy blanket on weekday evenings. The temperatures are getting cooler and we undeniably need comfort.

We then fall for soft and warm materials: wool, faux fur... Our favorite remains the French terry fabric: an irregular weave of threads, creating a straitjacket of intertwined loops full of volume. Its incredible comfort gives it all the reassuring side we are looking for in winter.

We also focus on velvet. With its beautiful reflections and its heavy drape, it gives allure to an interior. In winter, we choose it available in deep colors: pine green, navy blue. Its heavy drape and softness are all assets that make it essential.

Playing on opulence

What's better than playing on accumulation to create a comforting atmosphere. We superimpose throws very soft and bedspreads bounce back, we always add more cushions on our sofas and sitting with only one desire: to curl up in it. 

 

Stay warm

To avoid letting the cold enter our interiors, we are thinking of adding a lining thermal to our curtains. They prevent temperature variations but also provide protection against UV rays and insulate against noise.

To keep warm, choose woolen throws, which we love for their fluffy and enveloping appearance. We swap our bed linen light for cotton satin, with a heavy drape and thermoregulatory power.
