For a window in line with the wall The blind must extend 10 cm on each side of the window to ensure proper blackout. For a window in an alcove If you want to install the blind in the recess, the width of the blind should be the same as the width of the recess, minus 2 cm on each side to facilitate installation.  If you want to install the blind outside the recess, the blind must extend 5 cm on each side of the recess.
